In summary, these are the kinds of people you will meet.

  • Preachers/Converters
  • The Bad Boys
  • Friend makers/chikers
  • Socialites
  • Introverts

The Preachers/Converters:

These are those that begin preaching right from the first day of lectures. There must always be a sinner to convert in the lecture hall. Soon, these categories of persons gain a title for themselves as “Pastor”. For this set of people, heaven is more important than anything else including lecture attendance. Associating with them is good because you will learn a lot from them.

The Bad Guys/Girls Gang:

These are the ones you parents /guardians probably told you to watch out for. This is where the cultist, runs girls and lackadaisical students belong. These are always on the run for new recruits whose lives there are aiming to destroy. You need to watch out for them on a serious note. You will quickly note them by their heavy dressing and trending/wayward lifestyle. You don’t need to be told twice.

The Friend Makers/Chikers:

if you want to have many friends, and then be ready to meet them a lot. These ones are natural sanguine. They want to be your friends not just socialize. They come in two categories. Those who just want to be friends and those who want to go have a date if they are the opposite sex. Some people after getting admission, make having many dates one of their chief priority in school. Never be distracted by these things.

You will find them in every gathering and departmental night. They are like MTN Nigeria-Everywhere you go, you will certainly find one of them. They talk too much and they want everybody to know them. They might be very intelligent, but following this kind of people can make you very distracted.

This was the set I belong to in my first year, hardly making friends and talking to people. My life was so boring anyway. This one’s just want to read their books and pas exams but at the end they don’t always turn out to be the best students that they dream of being. You need to socialize, it part of education in the higher institution.
